Within our training courses, an element that cannot be missing is TESTS: an element that allows us to evaluate the knowledge that our users are slowly acquiring.
It is best to include these types of tests not only as a list of questions
but for example think of inserting a test at the beginning of a course, therefore as if it were an assessment (i.e. I evaluate the user before the training begins).
I can also insert tests between one training module and another, but I can also insert it at the end of a course.
The current trend is to include tests with a list of questions, whereas it would be better to include them within the training and perhaps in a “more playful” way, “gamification” style.
At the end of a course we can set the issue of a certificate or even when a particular test is completed.
Another interesting feature of modern e-learning platforms such as ILIAS is to build a system of AWARDS: they are VIRTUAL MEDALS, BADGES, AWARDS, they can be called in different ways.
The objective is to reward those users who spend more time on the platform or complete more courses or training courses.
